Allentuck Landscaping Co. Honored by CaringMatters

CaringMatters

This past Saturday night was one of those moments that makes you stop, look around, and think, “Wow… this is why we do what we do.”

At the CaringMatters Silver Lining Gala, Allentuck Landscaping Co. was honored with the Corporate Partnership Award—a recognition that means a lot more than a plaque and a photo on stage. CaringMatters supports families through serious illness, caregiving, and grief. They provide comfort when life is at its hardest. Being connected to that kind of work is something we don’t take lightly.

The ALC Team at the Silver Lining Gala – We Clean Up Nice

23 Years of Showing Up

Most people don’t know this, but our partnership with CaringMatters goes back 23 years. Nearly a quarter of a century.

We’ve donated landscape maintenance for the Cottage, the gardens, and the outdoor spaces that surround the CaringMatters campus. We’ve built projects there, too—spaces meant for reflection, comfort, and a little quiet when the world feels anything but quiet.

There was never a press release. No headline. No “look at us” moment.

We just did the work because it mattered.

Improving Lives Through Landscaping

People sometimes assume landscaping is all “nice curb appeal” and pretty plants. That stuff is great, but it’s not really the heart of it.

Outdoor spaces change how people live.

They give families a place to breathe.
They make hard conversations a little easier.
They remind people that beauty can exist right alongside pain.

That’s why CaringMatters means so much to us. Their mission lines up perfectly with the reason Allentuck Landscaping Co. exists: Improving Lives Through Landscaping.

A Community Effort, Not a Solo Act

This award doesn’t belong to one person. It belongs to every crew member who weeded, pruned, shoveled, edged, cleaned up, installed, repaired, and cared for those outdoor spaces with the same attention they’d give a paying client. Maybe even more.

Exceptional work. Highest standards. Community-focused.
It’s one thing to list those values on a website.
It’s another to live them for 23 years.

Where We Go From Here

The recognition is an honor, absolutely. But it’s also motivation.

If anything, it pushes us to keep raising our bar—not just for the homeowners we serve every day, but for the organizations that make our community stronger.

And if you ever find yourself at the CaringMatters Cottage, take a moment outside. Sit on the patio. Walk the garden path. Notice the quiet.

Those spaces were built to bring comfort. And we’re proud of that.
