landscape design and installation staff of Allentuck Landscaping celebrating one year injury free work place in Maryland

At Allentuck Landscaping Co., we’re thrilled to announce a significant milestone: 365 days without a single workplace injury! This achievement reflects our unwavering commitment to being a safe landscaping company in every aspect Safe Landscaping Companyof our operations. Since our founding, we’ve prioritized the well-being of our employees and clients, making safety the cornerstone of our business philosophy.

The Importance of Safety in Landscaping

Landscaping might seem like a low-risk profession to some, but it comes with unique challenges. Our team regularly works with sharp tools, heavy machinery, and potentially hazardous chemicals. We also face environmental risks like extreme weather conditions and uneven terrain. These factors make safety protocols crucial in our industry.

A safe landscaping company benefits everyone involved. For our employees, it means a secure work environment where they can focus on their craft without fear of injury. For our clients, it ensures their property is in the hands of professionals who value caution and precision. For our company, it translates to consistent quality service, reduced downtime, and a stellar reputation in the community.

How We Train For Safety

Safety training starts on Day One for all new employees when they receive their Personal Protection Equipment: safety glasses and ear protection. All employees at Allentuck Landscaping Co. are also required to wear work boots and work gloves.

They are also enrolled in MyLandscapeAcademy, an online training platform we created in 2022 to teach the safe and efficient work using equipment and basic landscape processes. The program has over 45 Safe Landscaping Companycourses in English and Spanish, and we now sell it to other landscape companies to help them better train their employees.

Every Monday brings the Monday Morning Circle, where all team members take part in stretching and safety discussion. It is a great way to start the week and get everyone’s head “in the game”. We also manage to have a little fun and share a few laughs.

One program that we are particularly proud of is Allentuck Achieves, our Crew Leader training program. Each year, up and coming team members may apply to be a part of this intense program which takes place every other Wednesday for two months. In Allentuck Achieves, we not only teach equipment and job site safety, but all the skill an individual needs to learn to be a successful Crew Leader in our company. It is through Allentuck Achieves that we have been able to promote and grow from within.
