We start every build by compacting the native soil to remove air and water. Next, we layer four inches of subbase gravel and level it with another inch of bedding gravel. Once pavers are laid, they are locked in with polymeric sand to create a flexible seal that prevents warping and cracking. We also use a mortar-based edging material to protect against tripping hazards from lift, shift, and break-off.
