Experts in Landscape Paving

Just like your home’s foundation, laying the groundwork for any landscape paving design will make or break the final look. Our landscape design and drainage engineering team knows exactly what it takes to weather the wet summers and cold winters, all while ensuring your hardscapes look as good as the day we installed them.

We start every build by compacting the native soil to remove air and water. Next, we layer four inches of subbase gravel and level it with another inch of bedding gravel. Once pavers are laid, they are locked in with polymeric sand to create a flexible seal that prevents warping and cracking. We also use a mortar-based edging material to protect against tripping hazards from lift, shift, and break-off.

Our hardscapes are protected by our 5-year workmanship warranty that covers any cracks, breaks, or loose stones that arise through ordinary use. Ready to love life outdoors? Get in touch to tell us your goals and start a quote!

Choose Your Paving Material

Many landscape paving projects incorporate a blend of materials to achieve the best look with the longest-lasting results. With the Allentuck Landscaping team, if you can dream it — we can build it!

Natural Stone

This premium material offers a combination of durability and elegance. Stone pavers are natural stone cut accordingly to fit the area. Types of paving stone include flagstone, granite, fieldstone, Travertine, slate, Bluestone, and limestone.

Concrete Pavers

Concrete comes in various colors, shapes, sizes, and textures. It is manufactured with precise uniform dimensions. This easy-to-install material is great for creating a flowing design with combinations of pavers and allows for a bit of artistry in the final look.

Brick Pavers

Traditionally made of clay, brick pavers are known for their durability, color retention, and low maintenance. This classic material is very strong and stain-resistant. It offers flexibility in styling and can be easily incorporated into a permeable paving solution.

Landscape Paving FAQs

Drainage and grading are two of the most important factors to consider for a landscape paving project. If these are ignored, you could be stuck with stagnant water, slippery walkways, broken pavers, and dangerous exposure to electrical elements. Our team works with you to incorporate these details without altering your desired design wherever possible.

Likely more than you think. If you’re incorporating existing plantings or mature-growth trees, a pool, or indoor kitchen space, you’ll need to plan for transition spaces to keep foot traffic moving smoothly. Other things to consider are seasonal uses such as fire pits, grills, dining, and games.

It entirely depends on how you want to use the space. However, many customers overlook lighting, a pergola, fans, and extra shade for sitting areas in the design. It’s very important to determine these upfront so that our team can install the proper elements for electrical wiring, plugs and switches, and even pool pumps.

We offer a range of materials in a wide array of finishes to ensure your exterior living space blends seamlessly with your home. One major consideration is how you’ll get to the paver area- for customers needing mobility accommodations a low or zero-threshold doorway may be required.
