What A Year It’s Been

Man has this year flown by! It seems like just last week we were shoveling out of a 3′ deep monster of a snow storm. In the time since, we have created and cared for some fantastic landscapes for our customers, grown and promoted many team members, and have come together stronger than I can ever remember Allentuck Landscaping Co. being. I thank each of you for your dedication to our company and for working so hard to make Allentuck Landscaping Co. the best landscaping company in the area.

This months Safety Line is titled Working Safely in Wet Weather. Wet weather creates slippery surfaces and limits visibility, intensifying almost all hazards present on landscaping sites. In particular, risks increase for slips, falls, cuts, electric shocks, cold-related illnesses and machinery-related injuries.

This year marked the 28th anniversary of Renewal & Remembrance, a day of service sponsored by the National Association of Landscape Contractors. Although our contingency from Allentuck Landscaping Co. was smaller this year, we were very proud to participate in enhancing two of America’s important landscapes and honoring our country’s veterans. This year, despite temperatures hovering nearly 100 degrees, over 500 volunteers worked at Arlington National Cemetery and the American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial. Our day began at 2:30
