Welcome to fall and all of the color it has to offer! Fall is a wonderful time of year and there are so many plants to choose from that present so many vivid colors. Here are some of our favorites for you to consider for your garden:

Japanese Maples (Acer palmatum) are a delightful small tree that stands out in any garden. With habits from upright to weeping, there are literally hundreds of varieties to choose from. Here are three of the most common.

Beautyberry (Calicarpa americana) is native shrub suitable for full sun to partial shade. It’s colorful berries appear in the fall and attractive lots of birds.

Dwarf Fothergilla (Fothergilla gardenii) grows to around 3′, also prefers full sun to partial shade, flowers white in spring and has a deep orange fall leaf color.

Goldenrod (Solidago canadensis) is a full sun perennial with brilliant yellow fall flowers.

Sweet Autumn Clematis (Clematis paniculata) is a wonderful vine with cascading white blooms. A sure treat on any fence or trellis.
